Dr. Mark Powell enjoys working with children, teenagers, and adults. His goal is to provide the highest level of personalized service. Since starting his private practice in 1987, Dr. Powell has enjoyed treating more than 29,000 orthodontic patients. Through continuing education, he also strives to learn about new, innovative orthodontic developments to ensure his patients are always receiving the most advanced orthodontic care available.
Dr. Powell has always had a passion for healthcare and science. He attended Alma College, and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He completed professional training at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1985 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Then he was accepted to Indiana University, where he earned his Master of Science in Orthodontics in 1987, and the faculty presented him with the Robert Farnsworth Award for the outstanding orthodontic graduate.
Dr. Powell has a strong dedication to the community and supports many sports and academic endeavors through the local schools. In his spare time, you would probably catch him on the golf course or spending time with his wife, Shari and their three daughters and 9 grandchildren.
